The Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 AI filter on Cyber Anime Filter redraws one photo of you as a set of 4 anime images in the look of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2: daylight, dust, flat colour, purple shadows and camcorder viewfinder frames. There are 4 styles in that look and 4 in the neon look of the first season. Draw yourself in the Season 2 look.
What the Edgerunners 2 AI filter is
It is a web tool, not a camera effect. You upload one photo, pick a style, and Cyber Anime Filter returns 4 drawings of you: a portrait, an action shot, a street scene and a key-art poster. Your face, hair and expression come from the photo. The outfit, the place and the light come from the style.
Independent fan-made tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CD PROJEKT RED, Studio TRIGGER or Netflix. The styles are original outfits and scenes. None of them uses footage, logos or character art from the series.
Why does season 2 look different from season 1?
Because it is a new story with a new team. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is a standalone story with a new cast, and Netflix's Tudum describes it as having a "reimagined animation style". Kai Ikarashi directs for the first time, after storyboarding and animation-directing episode 6 of the first season. Ichigo Kanno is the lead character designer. The first season's director, Hiroyuki Imaishi, and its composer, Akira Yamaoka, are not in those roles this time.
What that looks like in the teasers:
- Daylight. Sun on rubble and empty streets, where the first season lived in night rain.
- Dust and dirt. Smudges, lens flare and grit in the air.
- A 1990s cel look. Even ink lines and large areas of flat colour.
- A camcorder's eye. Handheld point-of-view shots, viewfinder frames, CRT and VHS scan lines.
- Purple shadows. Shade is cool purple or blue-grey, not black.
- One loud colour per character. A single saturated colour against a dusty background.
Kotaku reported the creators comparing the first season to a Michael Bay film and saying the second aims for Martin Scorsese. That is a paraphrase of their comparison, not a quote.
Classic neon vs Season 2 look
Cyber Anime Filter keeps the two looks apart, so a set never mixes them. Classic neon is the 2022 look: acid yellow, cyan and magenta over deep navy, thick ink lines, night rain. The Season 2 look is the new look: daylight, dust, purple shadows, flat colour and a camcorder’s eye.

|---|---|---|
| Follows | The 2022 season | Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 |

The 4 Season 2 styles
Each style below shows the portrait image from a sample set. The sample photos are AI-generated models, not real people.
Camcorder REC
Caught in a viewfinder, daylight and dust. Set in a sunlit lot of rubble and scrap on the edge of the city, megabuildings hazy in the distance.
Burned-Out Legend
A long grey coat and a past. Set in a wide empty street at midday between worn megabuildings, hard sun, long purple shadows.
Nomad Netrunner
Cobalt jacket, green eyes, embers. Set in dusty badlands at dusk beside a line of parked nomad trucks, the city glowing on the horizon.
Chrome Gang
Black hood, red steel hand, no rules. Set in an abandoned factory floor lit by daylight through broken roof panels, graffiti shapes with no readable words.
All 8 styles, with both looks side by side, are on the Edgerunners style list. If you want to know which lead each style sits closest to, read the guide to the Edgerunners 2 characters.
