The set of 4, drawn in this style
About this style
The second season is told partly through a kid’s camcorder, and its trailers are full of viewfinder shots: corner brackets, a recording dot, tape noise. Camcorder REC draws you inside that frame. It is the brightest style on the site, set in daylight, with flat colour, purple shadows and dust on the lens in place of rain and neon.
Tips for Camcorder REC
- A daylight photo matches this style. A photo taken under warm indoor light is recoloured, and skin tone can shift.
- A candid pose reads better than a posed one. The frame is meant to look caught, not staged.
- Wide 16:9 looks most like tape footage.
What is already set for you
- The outfit: a white puffy jacket with navy shoulders and a green stripe over a red T-shirt, a plaster on one knee, an old handheld camcorder with a green lens.
- The place: a sunlit lot of rubble and scrap on the edge of the city, megabuildings hazy in the distance.
- The four shots: Portrait, action, street and key art, in that order, every time.
You do not write any of this. How the built-in prompt works.
